Ripple Grain Leather

DESCRIPTION:

Epi-style leather is a premium cowhide leather defined by its distinctive embossed ripple texture—raised, uniform ridges pressed into the surface—that adds both visual depth and tactile luxury. Treated with a protective finish, it offers excellent resistance to scratches and water, making it practical for everyday wear without sacrificing elegance. The treated surface helps maintain its appearance over time, and while it doesn’t develop a soft patina like untreated leathers, its color stays rich and true. It holds structure well and is ideal for pieces where shape and durability are important.

Key Features:

• Average Hide Size: 22-24 sq. ft. (Side)
• Thickness: 1.2 mm / 3 oz
• Content: U.S. cowhide
• Grade: Top
• Firmness (Temper): Medium (7/10)
• Finish: Embossed
• Tannery: Sourced from the USA, tanned in Europe
• Tannage: Chrome Tanned
• Properties: Scratch and water-resistant, easy to handle
• Burnishing: Not suitable for burnishing, edge painting recommended
• Ideal Uses: Bags, shoes, covers and small leather goods
